LOVE was in the air at the Emmys last night as TV's biggest stars arrived in a series of white wedding-style gowns.
Blushing bride-alikes included Katherine Heigl, Christina Aguilera, Cat Deeley and Marcia Cross.
Strutting their stuff in stunning, floor-length styles, the girls could have been walking up the aisle rather than the red carpet.
But black and jewel colours were also popular at the sun-soaked Los Angeles ceremony seen as telly's Oscars.
Heroes star Ali Larter looked a sultry siren in red satin while Ugly Betty winner America Ferrera flaunted her curves in cobalt blue.
It wasn't all fashion fabulous in the Ugly Betty corner though: Vanessa Williams looked more Emu than Miu Miu in a feathery Kevan Hall gown.
Another co-star in crisis was Heroes' Hayden Panettiere. The poor girl looked eight months' pregnant in a tent of a gown she could have hidden the hit show's entire cast under.
Thank goodness for Debra Messing. The Will & Grace star looked Emmy-zing in a black and white Ralph Lauren creation.
Meanwhile, the ladies of Wisteria Lane were a mixed bag in the style stakes.
Teri Hatcher looked strangely ancient in a naff pink number while Marcia Cross disappeared altogether in an ivory gown that clashed with her alabaster skin.
But newlywed Eva Longoria showed off a toned figure to die for in a backless sequin dress and Felicity Huffman looked flirty in fuchsia.
