LADY GAGA was reduced to tears after record label bosses pushed her to flash more flesh in photoshoots at the start of her career.
The Poker Face singer frequently battled with executives who wanted her to be a super-sexy pop star but she refused to use her sexuality to sell records.
She tells Elle magazine, "My album covers are not sexual at all, which was an issue at my record label. I fought for months, and I cried at meetings. They didn't think the photos were commercial enough... The last thing a young woman needs is another picture of a sexy pop star writhing in sand, covered in grease, touching herself."

She doesn't need to show skin to sell records! All she needs is her talent. It's funny how they wanted her to show more skin but her doing the exact opposite (wearing all the extravagant clothing) got more attention than if she was naked on an album cover. She sure showed them!!! lol She really needs to start her own label

That's awesome that she fought it the way she did. She's so naturally talented that the sex appeal doesn't have to be the main focus at all. I mean just listen to her live acoustic sets. She's brilliant.
