LADY GAGA broke down in tears on-stage after she was handed a plaque to mark the eight million copies of her album THE FAME sold in the last year (09).
The Poker Face singer was given an early Christmas present after hearing the news about her debut disc during her concert at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday (23Dec09).
She was embraced by her crew of back-up dancers as she stood in awe of the framed tribute, wiping away tears.
She sobbed as she told the crowd, "I can't believe my record came out a year ago and you guys bought eight million of them. You are the most wonderful fans. And thank you for making the girl who felt like a freak feel like she belongs."
