Christina Aguilera's baby won't get a close-up. The pop star, who recently gave birth to a boy named Max Liron, reportedly couldn't get a good deal with OK! magazine to publish photos of her baby, MSNBC reports.
The magazine, the same one who published the 27-year-old singer's wedding pictures, couldn't guarantee a full-cover photo of Aguilera and Max because she doesn't sell as well as she does on stage.
"The OK! wedding cover didn't sell as well as they hoped, and even her recent Marie Claire cover under performed, all things considered," a source says.
"Christina has an inflated sense of her own value and seems to expect an extortionate amount of money for these baby pictures. I'm not sure OK! or much of the industry thinks is a dollar figure that's worth it. She hasn't proven to be a real seller," another source confirms.
An insider privy to Aguilera's contract says the terms include a guarantee that OK! may not publish pictures of Nicole Ritchie's new baby, who were born on the same day as Max. "Christina can't stand Nicole. Nothing would make her more upset than to see those two babies on the same cover, even if it wasn't at the same time."
Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman welcomed Max on January 12.
