In the mommy business only since Jan. 12 – when first baby, Max, arrived – Christina Aguilera was back in the public eye on Tuesday, signing autographs at the Best Buy store in West Hollywood to promote her new DVD Back to Basics: Live and Down Under.
As petite-framed as ever, Aguilera, 27, at one point tugged at her empire shirt so it wouldn't cling to her post-pregnancy tummy.
Earlier Tuesday, Aguilera told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show, "I'm very excited [about] this whole incredible thing that's taken place in my life, between the pregnancy and the birth." She says these changes will inspire her work. "I've been brainstorming for the last nine months of my pregnancy. This next album will have a whole new me. A different me."
Predictably, given this was Aguilera's first time out in a crowd since her baby was born, fans at Best Buy were excited about meeting her, and some even came bearing gifts for the baby: a onesie, a pair of blue baby shoes, even a handmade blue paper cupcake with a candle on it – in anticipation of Max's turning one. (Max's dad is Aguilera's music-executive husband, Jordan Bratman).
Others took photos with the singer, and one visibly pregnant fan was asked by Aguilera how far along she was. The attention made the woman tear up.
