After one false start, Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman finally welcomed a baby boy into the world on Saturday at 10:05 p.m.
Some U.S. news outlets prematurely reported that the singer had given birth at L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Friday - just down the hall and within minutes of Nicole Richie's new arrival.
However, Xtina’s rep confirmed that the singer dropped a 6 lbs. 2 oz. and 20.5 inches long baby boy a day later.
The proud parents have named their first child Max Liron Bratman – with Liron meaning 'My song' in Hebrew, and Max meaning 'The Greatest.'
The singer said in a message posted on her official website:
"Dear fans,
Today is a very joyful and special day for Jordan and I as we welcome our first son into this world.
In honor of our love for each other and our growing family, I have put together a special video for the song "Save Me From Myself" off my Back to Basics album. This video is very dear to me as it includes actual footage from our personal wedding video!
Just a little something to say "thank you" for your undying love and support. It is in no small part because of you that I live such a blessed and wonderful life!
