Trey Songz can do more than just sell sex and a good time at the club. Although it took him long enough to show it in the new grown and sexy era of his gold-selling Ready album, he can also use his music and videos to tell a story. And it’s quite a compelling one he tells in the new video for “Yo Side Of The Bed.”
Trey and his leading lady, played by Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Keri Hilson, tell the heartbreaking story many soldier sand their families face, only in this story the usual roles of the man leaving and the woman being left to tend to the family needs are reversed as Keri is called off to war.
The chemistry between Keri and Trey is apparent, and Trey lays all of his emotions out on the table as he completely immerses himself in the video’s storyline.
