Christina Aguilera will talk about the writing processes and the inspirations behind some of her biggest hits and her newer material when her episode of VH1 Storytellers airs on June 13. But before we settle in on the couch to watch in a pair of leather chaps and prepare to get “Dirrty,” VH1 has made a preview available.
In the clip released today, Christina belts out her empowering, rock-infused pop masterpiece “Fighter” from her sophomore album, Stripped.
“When I was younger there were a lot of people, as I mentioned before, that were sort of around me for the wrong reasons,” Christina told the crowd as she introed the song. “There’s always a positive to those negative times because throughout it you come out so much stronger and wiser.”
As previously reported, at least two new songs from Christina’s forthcoming album Bionic were performed that night — a snippet of the title-track and the ballad “You Lost Me.”
