Christina Aguilera Says Son Max “Inspired Me To Be Playful” On ‘Bionic’
Christina Aguilera has admitted that her new electro-dance sound was inspired by someone, but it might not be who you’re thinking.
In an interview with late night talk show host David Letterman, Xtina reveals it was actually her 2-year-old son, Max Bratman, that brought on the techno-driven musical styling heard throughout her new album, Bionic.
“He [Max] inspired me to be very playful on this record actually,” Christina said during her The Late Show appearance that also included a performance of her song, You Lost Me. “He definitely inspired me to play a lot more. Get into a little bit of electronica music which is more about freedom and I think, the future.”
Christina’s need to be playful and expressive also seems to stem from the overall experience of being a new mother. The star says she “feels better and actually, more sexy and confident” now than she did before she was a mom.
Christina’s new sound can be heard on her latest release, Bionic, in stores now.
