Predictions are in for this week’s big album releases and if the numbers are to be believed, Christina Aguilera’s sales for Bionic will be anything but. According to industry trade publication, Hits Daily Double, Christina’s brand new album is expected to pull in between 120-125K in its first week of release. While 125k in the current music industry climate is fairly decent, to put it in perspective, if those numbers pan out, they would be down more than 50% from her last studio effort, 2006’s Back to Basics. Back to Basics notched more than 350k in its first week. This hasn’t exactly been a stellar release week for the pop diva. Critics have mostly panned Bionic, led by the electro-dance inspired first single Not Myself Tonight, as an album filled with “flimsy gimmicks” or a blatant rip-off of Lady GaGa. Neon Limelight
