Lady Gaga has been accused of stealing her eccentric style from a former collaborator who committed suicide. The mother of the late Lina Morgana claims Gaga morphed into her daughter within weeks of her death. The two had been introduced by producer Rob Fusari who reportedly wanted Gaga to co-write songs for Lina's first album. Several songs were recorded by the duo before Lina leapt to her death from the top of a 10-storey hotel in Staten Island in October 2008 aged just 19. Now mum Yana says she wants the Poker Face singer to acknowledge that she copied her now famous raunchy style and dark persona from Lina who wore latex underwear, large wigs, and thigh high boots. Yana, 41, told the New York Post, "I'm doing this because I want to keep her spirit alive. Lady Gaga is holding Lina's soul, and I want her soul to be free." A spokesman for Gaga declined to comment, but Yana said she is not looking for cash, simply an acknowledgement from the star of the influence her daughter had on her. celebrities.ninemsn.com.au
